Forum List lists forums, but links to Post Lists instead of Topic Lists

Forum List lists forums, but links to Post Lists instead of Topic Lists
For example, one of the forum links links is this:
http://<sitename>/index.php?option=com_simplestforum&view=postlist&forumId=1
instead of linking to a Topic List. Why, and how do I fix this?

This is actually a configuration setting in the menu item when you create the menu item. Check the Simplest Forum Help from the admin console - it has a short step-by-step on this option.

Fixed it, by navigating to /components/com_simplestforum/views/forumlist/tmpl/default.php and changing
($this->params->get('linktopics')?'topiclist':'postlist') on line 28 to
($this->params->get('linktopics')?'topiclist':'topiclist') Now I'm not experienced in PHP, so I'm not sure exactly what that means - is it deciding if it needs to link to topic list or post list? Whats the criteria to decide to switch between the two?
